The training centre has its own training ground with self-propelled and special machinery. You practise driving with an instructor and take the State Technical Supervision (Gostekhnadzor) exam on the same machine you trained on.
The tractor and machinery operator licence (udostoverenie traktorista-mashinista) is issued for 10 years. After that it is renewed at Gostekhnadzor without retraining. The worker's trade certificate has no expiry date. Some employers ask for refresher training every 1, 3 or 5 years.
A copy of your passport (main page and registration), SNILS (Russian insurance number), medical certificate 071/u confirming you are fit to drive self-propelled machinery, and a colour photo in electronic form. If you have a driving or tractor licence, send copies of them too. Foreign citizens also need a residence permit or registration (registratsiya) and a notarised translation of their passport.
The exam has a theory part and a practical part. The practical test takes place on a closed site and on a route in real road conditions. A theory pass is valid for three months. If you fail, you can retake it after 7 days. After three failed practical attempts you will have to take the training again.
When the licence expires or your name changes, it is replaced without exams. You need your passport, a medical certificate, the old licence, a receipt for the state fee and two 3×4 photos. The application is submitted online or in person at Gostekhnadzor.
The licence is published in the Rosobrnadzor register: the link is on the “Information about the educational organisation” page. Our graduates' certificates are entered in the federal FRDO register, and their authenticity can be checked by surname and form number.
No. Under Article 60 of Federal Law No. 273-FZ, a worker's trade is confirmed by a certificate of a worker's trade or an employee's position (svidetelstvo o professii rabochego). A diploma is only needed for secondary vocational and higher education.
Check the licence in the register and make sure the details in the contract match the licence. Be careful if the price is several times lower than the market rate, if you are asked to transfer money to a private person's card, or if extra payments are demanded that are not in the contract. We sign a contract with every student.
